The Māori Party co-leaders are expected to make their first public appearance at Rātana Pā next week, after a recent public spat over the party’s future leadership. Last month, Tariana Turia backed Te Ururoa Flavell as the future leader and suggested that Pita Sharples resign from politics. However today Pita Sharples said the leadership is not up for contention.
