Online extra- Mitre 10 National Rugby Competition
The Southland Stags will open their national provincial campaign with a traditional match against neighbours Otago later this month. The competition was officially launched yesterday. Southland Head Coach Hoani MacDonald of Ngāi Tahu says, “Down South provincial rugby is what the community is built on, so everyone is pumped up for the Stags to get into it this year, first game against Otago so the excitement is right up there”.

Heavy rain causes flooding in Otago
