    Established in 2004, Te Rourou Kura is a combined secondary school team based in Nelson and affiliates with all iwi and marae from Te Tauihu o te Waka ō Māui.  The group has performed on the national stage since their formation.

    Te Wharekura o Arowhenua was established in 1998 as part of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Arowhenua. The group describe their mission statement with the whakatauki ‘Tū pakari, tū rangatira, hei raukura mō tō iwi - Stand Strong, Stand Proud as a plume for your Tribe.'  Arowhenua aim to be high achievers and exemplify the hopes and aspirations of their people.

    Te Haaro o te Kaahu Kapa Haka Kura Tuarua 2016- Te Rōpū Kapahaka o Te Aute Kāreti

    Te Rōpū Kapahaka o Te Aute Kareti was established in 1854. They're the only Māori Anglican Boarding College that promotes Māori and Anglican special character. The group describe the key themes of this year’s performance as mana, wehi, pride and humility.

    Nga Taiātea Wharekura was established in 2005 and has competed regularly in regional and national competitions since.  The group has also performed at Koroneihana celebrations and at the Hauraki Festival.

    Te Kapa o Kingi Kāreti was established at King’s College in 1995 and summarise their mission statement using their school whakatauki ‘Te Tangata Pumau’.  This is their first time performing at the national level.
