In leading news tonight, a recent study has highlighted that Māori dislike Asian immigrants more than any other NZ group in the country.
An immigration issue saw two Māori women, Lisa Tupara-Singh and Marua Ashby-Thapar, along with their supporters take to the Parliamentary Chambers in protest at the end of November, after struggling for more than a year with Immigration NZ to see their husbands returned home to NZ.
Australia's 2001 Immigration Law is still taking its toll on Māori who live across the ditch, and the founder of Māori rights advocacy group, 'Iwi n Aus', says that refugees who arrive in Australia have more rights than NZers.
