For the first time, the official nationwide broadcast of ANZAC commemorations will come live from Rotorua. Whakaata Māori will broadcast from Te Papaiouru Marae at Ōhinemutu - the first time the network has moved ANZAC coverage outside of its Auckland studios since it led the resurgence of ANZAC commemorations 17 years ago.
