Te Wiki o te Reo Māori

For Māori Television, every week is Māori Language Week.

We are proud to showcase Te Reo Māori programmes catering to all ages, learning and fluency levels every day of the week. Te Reo Channel in particular is dedicated to broadcasting 100% in Te Reo Māori. Have a look at both  to see what is on offer.

To support the Māori Language Week national initiative we are excited to be launching two popular tamariki cartoons reversioned into 100% Te Reo Māori, Dora and Spongebob Squarepants.  We’ll also be seeking out Te Reo Māori ambassadors around the country and there will be some awesome prizes up for grabs. Competition details coming soon.

For more information on Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, check out Te Kupu o te Wiki and learn a kupu a week for 50 weeks from 21 July.

Don’t be left behind, jump on the Reo Māori waka. Ko te reo kia tika, ko te reo kia rere, ko te reo kia māori.
