tihini grantSML.jpgTihini Grant (Te Arawa, Ngati Pikiao) Presenter/Director Tamaki Paenga Hira. Tihini has worked on historical natured Maori language programs for the better part of eight years, including Waka Huia and Maori Television’s Te Pataka Korero. Coupled with a 20 year involvement around the study and teaching of tribal history Tihini has vast recollections of interviews with kaumatua throughout Aotearoa giving him a unique perspective on each taonga featured in Te Pataka Korero.

mechele harronSML.jpgMechele Harron (Tainui, Ngati Mahuta). Mechele has been a Producer at Maori Television for 6 years with a sole focus on 100% Maori Language programming including the history series Te Pataka Korero and rangatahi careers show Autaia. The experience gained working on these shows has enabled her to bring together the right combination of people to tell the stories behind the taonga featured in the show Tamaki Paenga Hira.

Auckland Museum. Karen’s role involves overseeing services provided to visitors within the Museum, and via online channels, enabling access to information and learning programmes related to collections and exhibitions. With an extensive background in education, exhibition development, web communications and new media production, Karen has previously worked at Te Papa Tongarewa, Ilam School of Fine Arts and Christchurch Polytechnic.
