JAY & SARAH's fresh, affordable, family food.

Jay & Sarah launched their own cookbook in January 2017. They have 100 recipes to share with the nation. Everything from breakfast, kids lunches and snacks, dinners, sweets & treats to sauces and condiments to enhance your dishes. Simple yet healthy meals made without fuss by crowd favourites Jay & Sarah from My Kitchen Rules.

Jay & Sarah won the hearts and minds of viewers of My Kitchen Rules in 2015. Their enthusiasm for modern, healthy food that is budget-friendly yet quick and easy to prepare is now shown in full in this book of achievable recipes for all New Zealanders.

With three children under the age of eight, Jay & Sarah know how to get food on the table with a minimum of fuss, using fresh seasonal ingredients.

These home cooks continued to entertain and wow the viewers with their wholesome, fresh and flavoursome dishes that included an array of healthy alternatives that definitely surprised the judges.

They are ambassadors for many charities including ‘Kids Can NZ’, contribute their time to many whanau orientated kaupapa and have extended their love for good kai to other aspects of life, like best household products, events and places to enjoy with the kids. This cool, confident and creatively couple have been together for 10 years and now have three beautiful tamariki who attend Kōhanga Reo and Kura Kuapapa Māori.  Jay (Waikato / Ngāti Maniapoto), Sarah (Ngāti Tūwharetoa / Te Tai Rāwhiti) both have a strong connection to their Māoritanga with Jay attending Kōhanga, Kura Kaupapa and Wharekura enabling him to communicate confidently to audiences in both Māori and English.

Sarah also learnt Māori as a subject throughout her schooling, and most recently immersed herself more in Te Reo by working as a kaimahi at her sons Kōhanga Reo, allowing her to learn the language more fluently.

They both have a strong passion for food and most importantly everything to do with their whānau.

Jay has a background in TV Presenting and Production Management, and Sarah is a Make-up Artist and Mother Extraordinaire.

They hope to connect, inspire and educate their followers through their love of food. Allowing them to share their tips and tricks on how food can not only bring the whanau together, but also be beneficial to your whānau’s health & well-being as well.
