Presenter: Kahurangi Maxwell

Kahurangi Maxwell is of Te Arawa decent and has whakapapa links to iwi of the wider Bay of Plenty and central North Island.

She is a seasoned TV personality having worked on this years Te Matatini coverage and earlier for TVNZ's Waka Huia and Te Karere.

She is young and a fluent speaker of te reo o Te Arawa. With her wealth of media and cultural experience with Te Arawa lands and people, she brings with her a wide network of fluent speakers.

Kahurangi Maxwell of Rotorua (Ngati Whakaue / Ngati Rangiwewehi), will nurture talent to share their unique life's story with her. Her investigative intuition will assist in unraveling amazing characters, stories and practices of the Te Arawa people.

One episode could be set in the rural out backs of Maketu and the next in Rotorua city, from a wahine who is a poet to a tane who is a tour guide. This allows us to see Te Arawa dialect in 'real life' action, used in everyday situations.
