Presented by Nepia Takiura-Mita and Turia Schmidt-Peke. Te Whetū Maiangi Award for Young Achievers is special recognition of outstanding New Zealanders aged 16 to 30 years.
Presented by Pere Wihongi and Tuhoe Tamaiparea. Te Ururangi Award for Education is special recognition of the extraordinary contribution, sacrifice and commitment of an individual in the New Zealand education sector.
Presented by Ngahiwi Apanui & Charlie Tepana. Te Waitī Award for Te Reo and Tikanga is special recognition of individuals who are championing the revitalisation of the Māori language and culture and proactively increasing awareness and status of te reo Māori in New Zealand society.
Presented by Tama Waipara. Te Waipuna-ā-Rangi Award for Arts and Entertainment is special recognition of the extraordinary contribution, sacrifice and commitment of an individual in the New Zealand arts and entertainment industry.
Presented by Uncle Rik and William Waiiirua. Te Tupu-ā-Nuku Award for Business and Innovation is special recognition of inspiring New Zealanders whose game-changing discoveries, research or innovations are a driving force in our society.
Presented by Dr Hinemoa Elder and Ezekial Raui. Te Tupu-ā-Rangi Award for Health and Science is special recognition of outstanding initiatives and programmes created and implemented in a clinical or non-clinical context which positively contributes to the development and retention of a capable health workforce.
Presented by Piripi Taylor and Wikitoria Day. Hiwa i te Rangi Award for Community is special recognition of the outstanding contribution and achievements of community programmes, projects and/or initiatives.
Presented by Portia Woodman. Te Waitā Award for Sport is special recognition of a sportsperson or member of a sports team who demonstrates excellence in their discipline at a national and/or international level.
