This week Te Puna went to Matakana Island for an historical match against Whakarewarewa. The first hit out of the season for North Harbour 1st XV rugby where Rangitoto College challenged Westlake Boys for the Woodhouse Shield.
History is made in Porirua when Toa take on Shannon for the very first time at their "home ground", which is also the home of the "Ka Mate" haka, and we'll see that in action too. We check out the Luisetti Seed Canterbury Combined Final where Waihora and Rakaia battle for supremacy.

We are Hamilton for a top of the table clash between Hamilton Old Boys and Hautapu in pretty foul weather. We go to Napier to check out Maraenui, a proud whanau club, when they take on Porangahau.
This week we head South! We're off to Wanaka where Upper Clutha take on Cromwell. In Loburn, we see Ashley against Ohoka, and visit the 1958 Kowai team Reunion. It's the end of the first round of rugby in Timaru, unbeaten Waimate challenge defending champions Celtic.

We visited the Dargaville Rugby Club in the North who were celebrating their 125th birthday. We went to Wharema in the Wairarapa to watch East Coast against Gladstone playing for the Paku Cup and the Nunn Shield.
