Tauranga's Jessica Rolleston and Pryor Mio of Tōrere Marae were two of 127 competitors at the NZIFBB Waikato Champs at Hamilton Boys High School this weekend.

The pair were mentored by IFBB bikini Pro-Bodybuilder Brie Tawhai and her partner, Men's Physique IFBB pro -bodybuilder, Jeremy Tevaga, an opportunity the body building pro has enjoyed, “They keep me motivated and amazing and their training has gone from strength to strength.”

Five weeks ago Jessica Rolleston spoke to Te Kāea about her training. Today she achieved her goal and entered the Novice Bikini over 168 cm category. The 30 year-old was ecstatic over her results, “Yes, definitely. I have never looked like this before, so it's good.”

In February, Pryor Mio met professional bodybuilder Jeremy Tavaga and made a few inquiries about the sport.

“He just explained to me this is a lifestyle change,” says Mio who never looked back.

Pryor placed second in the Novice Men 80-90kg and while Jessica didn't place, she enjoyed every moment.
