Ngā Tūmanako, the winners of Te Matatini Ki Te Ao 2019, and their peer groups - Waka Huia, Manu Huia, Te Roopū Manutaki, will be welcomed home to Tāmaki rohe this afternoon. It's expected over 300 people from Te Whānau o Hoani Waititi Marae will be in attendance.

Born and raised in South Auckland, Tepara has been a part of Māori Television’s newsroom for nearly 13 years. Educated at the former Ngā Tapuwae College, she returned to Te Kura Māori o Ngā Tapuwae as a Kaiako Rūmaki Reo after gaining her Bachelor of Education in 1999 from the University of Auckland.
