One Māori student advocate at Massey University fears rent increases to Wellington rental properties and a lack of accommodation availability could put students off studying. This follows a reported warning from property experts of the market heating up during the next few months.

Hailing from Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Kahungnu, Niue and Rarotonga Moana first joined the Te Kāea team in 2011 after graduating from Te Wharekura o Hoani Waititi Marae.
She first joined our operations team whilst studying at the University of Auckland but developed her media skills and experience working for Māori media production companies.
She returned to Te Kāea as a sports reporter and presenter in 2016.

Her interests include politics but she is equally passionate about preserving Māori and Pacific language and culture.
