In Zone Project hits the big screen

A feature length documentary about the successful In Zone Project that is helping hundreds of Māori and Pasifika teenage boys and girls attend two of Auckland's top education schools is hitting the screens nationwide.

Driving progamme helps offenders in the BOP

The NZ Howard League for Penal Reform will now offer their driving programme for the next three years for offenders and ex-prisoners in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. The programme, which helps offenders obtain a driving license, has already helped over 40 people in the Whakatāne area since the pilot programme began in September.


New exhibition at Te Puia Ahua Gallery celebrates weaving

A new exhibition in Rotorua was opened at Te Puia the NZ Māori Arts and Crafts Institute which celebrates the Legacy of weaving and weavers. He Hekenga nō ngā Tūpuna features works from a new collective of weavers called Te Kōtuku Rerenga Rangi who are based in the Bay of Plenty.
