In this film, director David Blyth follows in the footsteps of his WWI soldier grandfather. Leaving Auckland, training at Maadi Camp, Cairo, Egypt – then onto Europe and the battlefields of North Eastern France and Belgium. The film culminates in the liberation of the fortress town of Le Quesnoy and ends with the Cambridge Armistice Day commemorations on the 11th November 2018.
