- 6 eggs
- 1 cup of cornflour
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1 tablespoon of plain flour
- 1 cup of caster sugar
- Separate the egg whites and yolk.
- Beat egg whites until it doubles in size and is stiff and pale.
- Slowly add caster sugar, a bit at a time.
- Once the whites are ready, add egg yolks.
- Mix carefully.
- Sift in dry ingredients.
- Fold carefully.
- Pour into a cake tin and cook for one hour.
Serve with whipped cream and strawberry jam.
