Onehunga High School

Onehunga High School is situated in one of Auckland’s oldest suburbs, overlooking the Manukau Harbour, and is a large culturally diverse school catering for Years 9 to 13. The school marae, Te Haerenga, is prominent at the front of the school and trustees and leaders are re-establishing links with local iwi. The school successfully retains more Māori students to Year 13 than national Māori retention levels. A higher percentage of Māori students leave with Level 2 and 3 NCEA than national Māori levels.
