Music - noun , An art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions.
New musicians, new prisons, new songs. Songs from the Inside continues the journey and follows New Zealand musicians Anika Moa, Annie Crummer, Don McGlashan and Laughton Kora, who went into two Auckland correction facilities to teach songwriting to prisoners.
Music therapy is used in prisons throughout the world, but Songs from the Inside is the first production to bring in established musicians and record the workshops, challenges and outcomes on film.
