Homai te Pakipaki, the whānau friendly, Friday night live to air, interactive, singing competition is … back.
If karaoke isn’t your “thang” then don’t stress yourself, because we’re giving you the chance to sing with your accompaniment of choice.
So, gather up your song sheets, refine your own compositions, pack your guitar, keyboard or karaoke song of choice and get to the Māori TV studio’s to sing on your own as a solo artist, or with a couple of your best mates or whānau - kei a koe te tikanga, it’s your choice.
The age limit sits at 12 years old and over, so fire up your Nan or Koro, there’s always room on our stage for everyone.
Being a part of Homai te Pakipaki is easy and fun – just turn up to our Māori TV studios in Newmarket, Auckland and audition. If you live a long way from Tāmaki-Makaurau, you can check out our Māori Television.com website in case we’re in your Region doing Regional Auditions or simply record and upload your audition to become a Pick Me Paki.
Heats start Friday, May 15th 2015 and run through until Heat 20 on Friday 25th September 2015. The most popular voted weekly winner receives $1,000 which pushes them one step closer to the $20,000 Grand Final cash prize.
