A paleo diet is based on the types of foods presumed to have been eaten by early humans, consisting chiefly of meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit and excluding dairy or cereal products and processed food.
Paleo Raw Almond Nut Milk
- 1 cup raw almonds, preferably organic,
- 2 cups water, plus more for soaking,
- a flavour enhancer like honey or vanilla.
- Soak the almonds overnight or up to two days.
- Drain and rinse then place almonds and fresh water in the blender on high for 2mins.
- Strain / press through a sieve or cloth, sweeten.
- Store for up to two days in the fridge.
