The rōpū is no stranger to the Te Matatini stage, having competed in the national competition in 2009, 2013, and 2015. Te Tū Mataora along with Te Kapa Haka o Kairanga were the 2 teams who qualified to represent the Rangitāne region.

    More schools qualify for 2016 Secondary Kapa Haka Nationals

    By the end of last week, three regions had completed their Secondary Schools Kapa Haka regional competitions to see who will be representing them at the nationals to be held at the Pettigrew Arena in Hawke's Bay next July.  Te Arawa, Aotea and Te Awakairangi ki Wairarapa have put their best teams forward, and Wellington will have theirs this Thursday.
