At a charity boxing event held at the G2 Bar and Events Centre in Tauranga over the weekend, former NZ Women's Sevens, NZ Touch and Māori Women's Rugby League player, Rachel Wikeepa, took on Jade Tapsell, and after winning her bout, she's considering turning pro.

Rachel Wikeepa is no stranger to sporting success, and she wasn't surprised she won her fight against Jade Tapsell when the two stepped into the ring in Tauranga recently.

Rachel has an impressive sporting background and has represented her regions and NZ in a range of sports; netball, athletics, rugby, rugby league, rugby sevens and touch.

After her outstanding performance in the boxing ring, she's thinking of adding another string to her bow.

Impressed spectators at the G2 charity fight night in Tauranga believe she has what it takes to turn professional, and Rachel says she's not ruling it out.

In the meantime, she'll keep sharp, in case another charity needs her to fight in their corner.
