The Warriors were hoping to re-write history as they took on the Broncos for the anniversary match.

Both teams showed quick pace off the whistle however, it was the Broncos who scored the first two opening tries in the original game and it was no different this time round.

Unforced errors meant the Warriors were stuck in their own half for much of the first 40 minutes.

As the Broncos kept applying pressure, the Warriors ceded a try to interchange forward Jarrod Wallace.

The score was 16-0 at half time.

The Warriors came out hungry in second half with new centre Matt Allwood having a hand in the first one, while getting across the line himself.

The signature aerial bomb from Shaun Johnson gave the Warriors the try to draw level.

The Warriors tried to push their luck with a short restart, which turned out to be the match winner for the Broncos.
