The team finished the tour off with a hard fought win, exactly what the team was expecting.
Japan came into the match with much improvement and it came down to the wire before the Māori All Blacks snatched the win 20-18.
Te Kāea reporter, Rewa Harriman has been following the Māori All Blacks on their tour and she says, it has been an awesome experience for the team.
The team has given Te Kāea great access opportunities to film them in their downtime which involved talking to some of the team about their personal journeys throughout the trip. Te Kāea was also allowed to be present at the jersey presentation.
Half the team will now head to Singapore and start promoting the game while the rest of the team will fly home for a well-deserved break.
It has been a very successful trip on and off the field for the Māori All Blacks this year.
