Rotorua Boys High School are in their second year at the NZRL Secondary Schools Tournament, after winning the development section last year.  Te Kāea caught up with the team to see how they're doing in the premiership division.

Rotorua Boys High School has shown at this NZ Secondary Schools league competition that they're not only good at rugby.

With only a two-hour training over the weekend, Rotorua won their first game yesterday against Western Springs, coming from behind to win 28-20.

Rotorua has a few top rugby players in their side, with three in the Chiefs' development squad out to be scouted this week.

Today they played Ōtāhuhu, who placed fourth overall last year.  Rotorua played hard, trailing behind the Auckland school by eight points.

However, the Rotorua side wasn't communicating very well, allowing Ōtāhuhu score several tries in the second half to win 38-4.

Rotorua will play Manurewa High school tomorrow.
