Dave "The Brown Buttabean" Letele could be fighting for a NZ Title belt as soon as the end of the year. Talks are already underway for him to contest a vacant title, but he has to win a few more fights before he is eligible to enter.

Tired of fighting rookies, Buttabean is ready to mix it up with more of the pros.  Members close to his camp are believed to be working on a title shot for the end of the year.

"I train full time and I am getting better every fight, I don't see any reason why I couldn't be the other heavyweight champion of New Zealand," he says.

Though many dismiss his fights as being nothing more than a circus act, tomorrow night he will challenge himself against Robert "The Hitman" Manuel, finally proving his real level of skill.

"It will happen, when it does it will be another obstacle I will knock over," says Butterbean.

Tomorrow night’s boxing event will be hosted at the ABA Boxing Stadium with the first fight staring at 6.45pm.
