They have come from all over the world to get it done.
Moengaroa Subritzki says, “Originally my goal was to play in the States, play division one and I've been able to do that and now I'm trying to set new goals. Maybe to play one time or help the New Zealand team to do something better.”
Megan Craig says, “It's been good. I've played College basketball as well. Adjusting to all the different styles of play. I've been able to pick up how the Australians play, so I can use that to my advantage.”
They will take a squad 12 players to the FIBA Oceania Series against Australia in Melbourne on August 15 and Tauranga on August 17.
Craig says, “We are ready to take on Australia with the hardest team that we have we are going to go hard, have fun but just enjoy it, enjoy the moment.”
