NZ Women's Kabaddi team sights set on World Cup title

The New Zealand Women's Kabaddi Team has been invited back to India this year, which has excited the team, team management and supporters.

According to Riripeti Motu, “Our team is humbled, they're excited, they can't wait to get on that round playing field to show off their skills, we're all very fortunate.”        

Some new faces have been introduced to the squad this year, however apart from the excitement of travelling overseas to represent their country, the main focus is returning home with the World cup and a World title.

The 5th Kabaddi World Cup 2014 would be held from December 6 to December 20.

Teams include India, Pakistan, Argentina, USA, UK, Scotland, Canada, Sierra Leone, Spain, Kenya and Denmark in men's competition.

The teams in women's category will be from India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Kenya, UK, Malaysia, Denmark and Mexico.
