The New Zealand women's sevens have been in Tauranga this week in preparations for the IRB Women's seven World Series.  The defending champions are two points up from other teams in the series, however Head Coach, Sean Horan says that two points too close.

The team is ready and set for the last tournament of the IRB World Series.  The plan is simple win this tournament, win the World Series.

“It's going really really well the preps been fantastic in regards to where we are going” says head coach, Sean Horan.

Some members are dealing with injures, but the management team believes that they are on target for the series.

“We've been together now for over a couple years, you know, and this is our second year in the World Series we won the World Series last year and won the World Cup” says Sean.

There is one new cap in the team Chelsea Alley, NZ Black Fern.  Sean Horan says that she will bring a lot to the team, but in the last tournament of the series anything can happen.

This Sunday, the team will fly out to Amsterdam and their first game is on the 16th of this month.
