The International Olympic Committee's decision to reinstate wrestling as an Olympic sport for the 2020 games has sparked excitement for the under 59kg Oceania female wrestling champion, Koria Pouri-Lane (Ngāti Maniapoto) who is preparing for the World Wrestling Championships in Hungary.
Koria Pouri-Lane is just 18 years old, holds two international wrestling titles and is fighting above her age group.
A decision made this week by the International Olympic Committee means her dream of competing at the 2020 Olympics could come true.
Her biggest supporter is her mum, who also happens to be her manager.
Koria is off to Hungary on Friday to compete at the World Wrestling Championships and bring herself one step closer to an Olympic medal.
