It was a momentous clash between King's College and Auckland Grammar School to celebrate a shared history of over 200 1st XV games between the two schools.
One player who competed in the game was Northlander, Shelford Murray for King’s College. Shelford says, “We're so happy to be here, we left Apihara at 5am this morning.”
His family say he's grown up through the sport and are excited at a Chiefs contract being thrown Shelford's way, but Shelford is yet to sign the contract.
Although King's College made it across the line a few times, it wasn't enough to secure the win, final score was 27-15 to Auckland Grammar.
