The New Zealand Rugby Union is reeling in shock at the passing of Jonah Lomu and extend their condolences to the legend's grieving family.
Lomu and his family arrived in Auckland last night from their Rugby World Cup trip. This morning at 8am, he passed away at his home in Auckland.
His passing has sent shockwaves not only through rugby communities but the world over.
Lomu was born and raised in South Auckland and attended Wesley College. The number 8 exploded onto the rugby field in 1993 to later further his success with the All Blacks.
