Focussing ahead is what Katherine Coffin, from Ngāti Maniapoto, intends to do alongside her Mystics side
"So far so good, were number one in the NZ conference so I can't complain, I get to play against the best in the world."
Playing against some of the best players in the world has helped Coffin with her game, who can't help but think of her first training with the team
Coffin says, "The first training I turned up, I was shaking, now I've got more confidence, they're not strangers anymore."
Her team mates are no strangers, she plays with some of the top defence players in the ANZ competition.
Her coach Noeline Taurua is also pleased with her efforts so far, "I'm pretty proud she got no games last year but she's got 11 quarters this year and I'm happy with her development."
She will get another chance when the Mystics play the Melbourne Vixens this Monday.
