The fight finished in a unanimous draw with both paid out the winner's fee of $50,000. However, today has seen a fall from grace with Silva being found guilty of taking performance enhancing stimulants.
However, according to Hunt's trainer, Lolo Heimuli, there's mixed emotions because it has tarnished what many have coined the fight of the year.
Heimuli believes that although they feel for the Silva camp, the UFC needs to do more to regulate those competitors who use illegal means to gain the competitive edge.
The failed test means Silva, who was also suspended for a year in 2008 for using steroid Boldenone, will now be stood down for nine months.
