Around 2,000 people have marched along the streets of Cannons Creek to pay tribute to former All Black Jerry Collins. Last week, Collins and his partner Alana Madill were killed in a car accident in France.
Many stories were heard amongst the masses today about the legendary rugby star.
Collins was described as a humble man willing to help anyone out with many choosing to remember him in their own special way.
A participant of the march says, “Most of the boys we all dyed our hair, all for Jerry.”
A funeral will be held on Wednesday for Collins at Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua.
