A brawl at a rugby match in Ōtāhuhu at the weekend has again raised concerns regarding violence at rugby events.
A 14-year-old was hospitalised after the fight and is speaking with Police about what occurred.
Reportedly around 30-40 people were involved in the fight which included members from both teams as well as members of their families and spectators.
A number of Police units were sent to the area but the fighting had stopped by the time they arrived.
The 14-year-old who was taken to hospital was knocked out during the altercation and Police spoke to a number of people at the scene.
