The 11 international U20 rugby teams competing in the IRB Junior World Championship (JWC) were welcomed on to Ōrākei Marae today officially opening the tournament which will run the next three weeks in Auckland.
The locals were also excited to meet these international stars.
The Baby Blacks were put through their paces getting ready to welcome on their international counterparts to New Zealand.
When it was show time they didn't disappoint.
While rugby is the focus of the trip, these international rugby players were excited to get up and personal with the Maori culture.
It was also a great day for the marae to meet these rugby stars from around the world.
The Baby Blacks have won four of the six world cups but they know the compeition will be fierce and England are the current cup holders.
Another advantage for the NZ team is havign the competition here, amongst their families, friends and the whole country.
The hope is that the NZ team will be this passionate and feared on the field come Monday.
