It was a very strong start for Australia, just two minutes into the game they scored their first try.

It soon became evident that Australia was the stronger of the two teams. Time and time again they continued to cross the try line.

21-nil was the score shortly before the end of the first part of the match, but after a while, the game changed.

NZ was fortunate thanks to the impressive work by Ben Lam. He scored the first try for NZ, making it his seventh of the tournament.

NZ benefited from the quick pace of Scott Curry. Ngāti Kahungunu descendant Gillies Kākā also shone, scoring two tries.

In the end, NZ came out on top, 33-52.

This is the fifth time they've held the winning title for this competition. They are now looking toward the Commonwealth Games in Glasglow in July.

This Wednesday they will return home.
