Ash Dixon (Ngāti Tahinga) will captain the 2016 Māori All Blacks for their upcoming Northern Hemisphere tour next month. 26-players in total have been named in the side by the head coach, Colin Cooper today in Wellington.
Raniera is from Te Kao in the Far North, however grew up in Whāngarei, before attending Auckland’s King’s College. A former online journalist for Te Kāea, Raniera moved to Te Karere at TVNZ to cover both national and international sporting events, a position he held for two years. He is a graduate of Te Ara Poutama, the school of Māori Development at Auckland University of Technology, currently holding a Bachelor of Arts (Māori Development) to compliment a Bachelor of Māori Performing Arts from Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi.
Raniera is a sports reporter at Te Kāea and has covered a wide range of stories from grassroots to sport at an international level.
