From this December produce sourced from Ngāti Porou will be served on board Air New Zealand flights, one of the many results of the partnership between the national carrier and the East Coast Iwi.

Rahia was born in Whakatāne and spent her early childhood being schooled at Te Kura Kaupapa Maori ā Rohe o Rūātoki. Her whānau moved to Ruatoria at the age of 10 where she attended Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Waiū o Ngāti Porou.
In 2010 she completed a Bachelor in Communications and Te Reo Māori degree from AUT. In 2018 she became a graduate of the Institute of Excellence in te Reo Māori (Te Panekiretanga o te Reo Māori).
Rahia first joined us in the newsroom in 2008 while completing her studies part-time. She has traveled to many places overseas to tell our stories, including New Caledonia, Brazil, Rarotonga, Tahiti and across America.
Rahia started as a Junior Reporter but is now a Reporter/Producer/Co-Presenter during the week and is also the Te Kāea Weekend Presenter.
