Last year South Auckland Marae, Te Puea came to the rescue of almost 200 homeless people including 104 children. This week they've reopened their doors to the vulnerable and homeless during the winter.
Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Raukawa. Born and bred in Lower Hutt, Eru brings a passion for Te Reo Māori and a knowledge of sport to the team.
He worked in the radio industry for ten years as an announcer in Tauranga and later moved on to work as the Breakfast Producer at Flava.
In 2014, he completed his Bachelor Degree in Māori Media at AUT with the aim of becoming fluent in Te Reo Māori.
Having further developed his reo, Eru arrived at Māori Television to work alongside the team as a sports reporter for Te Kāea.
