A Kahungunu hui-a-iwi was held today after the surprise joint agreement between Ngāti Kahungunu iwi and Craggy Range to buy back 28ha of land including the walking track at a price tag of over $1.5mil.
Aroha joined Maori Television in 2008 as the assignment editor for Te Kaea News before moving into the sports team as a reporter ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2011 and then changing roles to a general news reporter.
She is currently based in Hawke’s Bay where she covers the wide area of Te Matau a Maui and Te Tairawhiti.
Aroha has a background in the military and is a graduate of the Auckland University of Technology.
