Cliff Curtis won’t be putting his name forward to play the next James Bond henchman after a search was launched last month for a Māori actor to star in the new 007 film.

An award winning journalist, Aroha joined Māori Television in 2016 after ten years as a magazine journalist. Aroha is the former news editor for Woman’s Day and a senior writer for NZ Woman’s Weekly.
Originally from Hāwera, Aroha has also written two successful plays and a short film that travelled to various international festivals.
