Ngā Manu a Tāne, established in 2006 proved a force to be reckoned with at this years Waitaha Senior Kapa Haka Regionals after winning the overall competition and taking first place, securing a spot at next years Te Matatini to be hosted in their own rohe.

These values shone through in their performance which impressed not only the crowd but the judges as well.
The group is tutored by Hohepa Waitoa and Te Whakapumautanga Tana.
Hohepa Waitoa also maintains the integral role of Manukura Tāne while Merita Waitoa-Paku led the women in the performance this year.
