Every two years the best kapa haka groups from Tāmaki Makaurau compete to represent the Auckland region at the Matatini National Kapa Haka competition.
This year’s event looks to be even bigger and better than the last, with the competition moving to New Zealand’s biggest indoor venue, Vector Arena.
The event will kick off at 8.30am on Saturday June 11.

The Tāmaki Makaurau Regional Kapa Haka competition will be livestreamed on the Māori Television website for whānau who are unable to attend the event.
