Te Pū Ao Hawaiiki was first established in 2008. This is their sixth stand at the Tai Tokerau regionals and today they are the second team to take the stage at the ASB stadium in Whangārei.
The group has two guiding philosophised “Aroha ki te tangata” and “Mahi te mahi.”
Led by Mark Morunga (male leader) and Iritana Paul (female leader), the group is also supported by the Kaka and Morunga whānau.
The group is re-visiting a popular Northland action song from the 1970’s called “Kia ora ra.”
