Originating from Te Tai Tokerau, Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Rāwhitiroa was established in 1994.

This is the second time the team has graced the n,ational stage, the last time being 10 years ago.

The school holds steadfast to the words of Sir Hēmi Henare, “Ko te reo te kākahu o te whakaaro, ko te whakapono, te aroha me te rangimarie", whilst staying true to the 'Good Word'.

The leaders today are Hinekui Renata-Henare and Maru Henare, and their tutors are Donovan Davis and Paane Thomas.

Here is their whakawātea which encompasses the values they share as a whānau.
