Te Hiku Iwi sign accord with Government

An agreement between Far North Iwi and the Government is promising to help the most vulnerable in their communities, something to which Maori say the Government has failed to do.

Representatives of Ngāi Takoto, Te Rarawa and Te Aupouri signed off the Te Hiku Social Development and Wellbeing Accord with Government agencies today in Wellington, kick-starting what they believe is a new beginning for their people. Ripeka Timutimu has the details.
