Te Pū Ao has returned bigger and stronger this year vying for a spot to return to the national Te Matatini stage in 2015.

In 2012, they placed fourth at Maranga Mai E Te Iwi, just missing out on qualifying for the 2013 nationals held in Rotorua.

Their hopes and aspirations to develop their performers to grow as leaders in the world around them, and promote excellence in te reo Māori and its customs, have flourished.

Today, Te Pū Ao are led by Matiu and Muritere Apiata, and here, they explode onto the stage with their whakaeke.
